Xavier Perera is the President of the Kaitake Football Club, a position he’s held since 2021. He goes above and beyond to manage the committee and was instrumental in getting the youth team started last season. Xavier desire to see football grow in the region is equally matched by his desire to see his club progress and advance. Xavier passion for his local football club Kaitake FC is a huge part of the club’s growth and success and his contributions to putting both Men’s, Women’s & junior sides out in the black & yellow of Kaitake FC each week has seen the club grow from strength to strength.

Xavier can be found at most training sessions during the week, offering his assistance to coaches & players and his strong desire to improve outcomes for all those involved in Kaitake FC is apparent from the moment you meet him. Argentinian born it is not hard to find where Xavier passion for the sport he loves comes from, but what strikes you most about Xavier is he single minded focus for club growth and player development , he really wants to help and he really wants to make a difference for his club and its members is probably the best way of describing Xavier role and that is the general consensus of Xavier involvement locally in the game but he also has that special touch about him that shows that he cares so much about each individual he meets in the beautiful game.

When not seeing to the day to day running of Kaitake FC Xavier can be found on the football field bringing his special blend of Argentinian flair and exuberance to the local football scene. Xavier has built networks and connections with the local community that have enabled Kaitake FC grow from both and infrastructure and support perspective. These connections have created a real community bond that is both reciprocal & beneficial in nature. A great example of this is the work Xavier has led to raise funds for new club rooms and facilities with other sporting clubs/codes at Corbett Park and in doing so establishing important relationships that have augmented the necessary initiatives to see progress happen in a sustainable & focussed manner.

 Xavi is passionate about football, he is always thinking of ways to support the club, players, and supporters – whether it be helping to raise funds for the new club rooms, encouraging players of all levels to join, updating the website, running the social media pages, and providing coaching and development opportunities – he gives it his all!
