What is Futsal?

Futsal is the only FIFA and NZ Football approved version of five-aside football and the world’s fastest-growing indoor sport. Futsal is a small-sided – 5v5 – game played with a smaller low bounce ball, on a court without rebound walls or nets. It is a game that combines fun, creativity, speed, technique, teamwork and quick thinking. NZF Futsal has been designed to complement New Zealand Football’s existing programmes and promote and improve participation in football in New Zealand.

Central Football is excited to announce the Futsal competition information for year 3-8 and year 9-13 Students in Term 1 2025.

Where: Arena 3 Pascall Street, Palmerston North
When:  Fridays 4pm - 9pm (Times will depend on number of entries)
Dates:  6 Game Nights (1 Game per night)
21st , 28th February, 7th, 14th, 21st of March, and 4th of April.

- No Football boots (Sneakers or Futsal shoes only)
- Shin Pads and Football Socks Compulsory (No Exceptions)

Leagues: (League structures will be dependent on entries received)

- Year 3/4 Primary Mixed (At least 1 Girl on court at all times)

- Year 3/4 Primary Girls

- Year 3/4 Primary Boys

- Year 5/6 Primary Mixed (At least 1 Girl on court at all times)

- Year 5/6 Primary Girls

- Year 5/6 Primary Boys

- Year 7/8 Intermediate Mixed  (At least 1 Girl on court at all times)

- Year 7/8 Intermediate Girls

- Year 7/8 Intermediate Boys

- Year 9/10 Secondary Junior Boys

- Year 11-13 Secondary Senior Boys

- Year 9-13 Secondary Girls

Registrations close when capacity is reached or no later than 5pm Wednesday 12th of February 2025( Late Entries may not be accepted).

Payment is due before the start of the leagues; this will be strictly enforced for 2025.
